Elevate Brain Training is now accepting new clients 7 years old and older!
Neurofeedback was established at NASA in the 1960s to optimize brain function of astronauts and test pilots who suffered cognitive impairment and other brain-based challenges related to toxic exposure from jet fuel fumes. Dr. Barry Sterman ran successful experiments with cats, resolving their symptoms, and then applying similar training to NASA astronauts and test pilots; hence, neurofeedback became a proven method to optimize brain function. From the 1960s to the early 2000s, neurofeedback was highly exclusive. There were very few providers, and they were usually quite pricey. Fast-forward to 2007: Bill and Cora Scott founded BrainPaint®, the first automated neurofeedback system using artificial intelligence--making high-quality, efficient neurofeedback more available and accessible.
BrainPaint neurofeedback is actually computer-assisted cognitive behavioral therapy (an effective type of talk therapy) that takes 10-20 weeks to resolve mental health challenges rather than years to resolve. Neurofeedback trains the brain at the root cause of our mental health challenges--expediting the healing process with zero to negligible side effects and without medication.
Elevate Brain Training accepts only:
Elevate Brain Training is private-pay only. No insurance is accepted. However, if your insurance or FSA/HSA/Christian Co-op reimburses, Elevate provides receipts for reimbursement. Please check with insurance first, though, to determine their reimbursement policy.
Most clients need only 20-30 sessions at 2 sessions per week for best, most efficient results. Similar to our need for repetition to learn to play an instrument well, the brain needs repetition to make and keep gains.
Some clients need more sessions to resolve their brain-based challenges. Some examples of conditions that may require more sessions are: autism, developmental trauma, severe brain injury, severe stroke, addiction, severe developmental delays, seizures, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and symptoms requiring training at more than one brain region.
Once your brain has experienced enough repetition with BrainPaint's evidence-based protocols, it has the capacity to maintain the gains.
The majority of clients report significant improvements in only 5-8 sessions. Some clients--who may present a more challenging cluster of symptoms--may need up to 10-20 to notice some improvement. Such challenging symptom clusters may occur in clients with autism, obsessive-compulsive behavior, developmental trauma, bipolar disorder, multiple chemical sensitivities, and more.
Elevate Brain Training allows for a 65-minute session. Most sessions take 45-60 minutes.
Neurofeedback training is done only in-office.
Elevate Brain Training is currently accepting clients 7 years old and older.
Elevate Brain Training does its best to start you as soon as possible.
Elevate Brain Training has worked with many clients who want to be free of medications such as anti-depressants, benzodiazepines, and more. Elevate Brain Training has clinical experience with clients reporting significant reduction in withdrawal symptom frequency, intensity, and duration. Many clients report they no longer need their medications, as neurofeedback results in improved brain function, hence, improved mental health and overall health.
As BrainPaint® is effective, relatively inexpensive, and has a negligible side-effect profile, it represents an "important, innovative invention." --Harvard Medical School Neuroimaging Researcher, Steven Lowen, PhD, on BrainPaint® Neurofeedback
The American Academy of Pediatrics endorses neurofeedback for ADHD as a "Best Support -- Level 1" intervention which is the highest level possible.
“The literature, which lacks any negative study, suggests that neurofeedback plays a major therapeutic role in many different areas. In my opinion, if any medication had demonstrated such a wide spectrum of efficacy, it would be universally accepted and widely used." --Boston Children's Hospital Director of Clinical Neurophysiology and Developmental Neurophysiology Laboratories Frank Duffy
"To my knowledge, no other treatment has achieved such marked improvement in executive functioning, which predicts how well a person will function in relationships, in school performance, and at work." --Renowned psychiatrist, trauma expert, author Bessel van der Kolk
BrainPaint® neurofeedback does NOT require an expensive brain scan or brain map to get started. A study compared the BrainPaint® assessment for protocol selection to that of a brain map and concluded, "...it is not possible to draw conclusions regarding any advantage regarding QEEG-specific training -- versus Scott/Peniston [the BrainPaint® technique] -- using current analysis."
